Judah, Jake, Kevin, Chuck, + Doris of The Freelance Whales playing their song Generator 1st Floor. Each song they played was magical + gave me chills.
You know whats awesome? getting a text from your best friend saying “hey i’m going to a party tonight to see a blue grass band. Wanna come?” and you’re kind of like, yes, but then nah, maybe i’ll stay in and fix my shelf and buy new fish and color my hair and fret. Maybe i’ll read that comic, go buy some running shoes, maybe i’ll go running for once…
Then you’re like.. wait… blue grass???
Then you show up feeling ugly listening to this awesome band of friends, feeling awesome, but not really awesome, and kind of lonely, but surrounded by friends.. but its all ok in the end because baby, its raining out side and the banjo is jamming and i aint got no place to go, so lets smoke cigarettes and talk about love lost and smile through it all.
